We are partnering with a well-established commercial general contractor to hire an experienced
Commercial Construction Superintendent
in
West Lafayette, IN . This is a long-term opportunity with a strong project pipeline, stable leadership, and a reputation for delivering high-quality
design-build commercial projects
across Indiana and the Midwest. The Superintendent will lead day-to-day field operations on ground-up and complex renovation projects, working closely with project managers, ownership, architects, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project close-out Manage daily site operations, schedules, manpower, and subcontractor coordination Serve as the primary on-site leader for
design-build commercial projects , collaborating closely with preconstruction, design teams, and project management Enforce safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain OSHA compliance at all times Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings Coordinate inspections, quality control processes, and punch-list completion Maintain project schedules, look-aheads, daily reports, and progress updates Proactively identify and resolve field issues related to constructability, sequencing, and logistics Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, engineers, and internal leadership PROJECT EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED)
Ground-up and renovation commercial projects ranging from
$10M–$75M+ Design-build delivery environments Experience across sectors such as: Commercial office Higher education / institutional Healthcare Industrial / light manufacturing Retail and mixed-use
