6+ months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift:
Mon 8am to 5pm; Rot Saturdays; on call
Job Summary The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients during routine health visits and critical health‑related decisions. This role is responsible for collecting high‑quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing in compliance with established practices and procedures. The PSR III builds trust and confidence by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner.
As a floater, assignments may vary daily and include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Maintain a safe, professional, and patient‑centered environment
Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post‑venipuncture to ensure proper specimen labeling
Ensure specimens are labeled in the patient’s presence and accurately reflect patient identification
Maintain required records and documentation
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and organizational commitment
Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Job Requirements
Ability to deliver quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal on‑site supervision
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on‑call shifts, overtime, and varying schedules
Commitment to all company policies and procedures, including dress code, health & safety, and Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles
Strong decision‑making skills and good judgment
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting
Superior customer focus with strong communication skills
Ability to adapt quickly and embrace change
Travel & Transportation Requirements (Floater Role)
Must have reliable personal transportation (bus, Uber, or rideshare is
not
considered reliable transportation)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
Ability to travel between multiple sites with minimal notice
Expected to arrive on time at assigned locations daily
Mileage reimbursement applicable
between sites only
(not from home)
Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
(Required)
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
(Preferred)
Phlebotomy certification
(Preferred)
Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Work Experience
Minimum
3 years of phlebotomy experience
required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Minimum
2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment
preferred
Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
Keyboarding and data entry experience required
Training
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
