The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective programs that protect company assets and ensure site security at the La Vergne, TN facilities, as well as the Phoenix, AZ facilities. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulations while proactively driving risk management initiatives and loss prevention strategies. The position partners with leadership to minimize operational, financial, and security risks.
Position Description
Own site security; monitor and enforce policies to protect company assets, employees, and facilities.
Oversee access control (badges/doors), cameras (CCTV/VMS), and alarm response; coordinate with IT to resolve outages promptly.
Lead shrink/LP audits and support inventory control (cycle counts, variance follow-ups) to close repeat loss issues.
Investigate theft, fraud, and security policy violations with HR/Legal; coordinate with law enforcement when necessary.
Identify patterns in product loss and recommend cost-effective prevention strategies.
Walk the dock, yard, and production floor regularly; fix issues or route them to the right owner and follow up.
Scope and cost physical improvements (cameras, lighting, fencing, gates) and drive them to completion.
Maintain a short record of top loss/safety exposures and the planned fixes; review with Operations monthly (or more often as needed).
Track incidents through to closure and coordinate claims with Finance.
Other duties as assigned.
CTPAT Compliance
Own seal control and the standard (7-point) trailer inspection process; keep logs and perform spot checks.
Ensure driver/visitor check-in procedures, forms, ID verification, and signage are current and used every shift.
Oversee CTPAT compliance in partnership with Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Shipping & Receiving. gs and perform spot checks
Keep CTPAT documentation organized; run the annual self-assessment and prepare for validations/audits.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
2–3 years in loss prevention, security, asset protection, or inventory control (manufacturing, distribution, or large retail).
Working knowledge of dock/yard controls: trailer seal integrity, gate logs, visitor/driver procedures, and basic CTPAT concepts.
Familiarity with access control and CCTV; able to pull video, export evidence, and manage permissions.
Basic investigation skills: incident intake, statement taking, evidence handling, chain-of-custody, and clear report writing.
Comfortable with cycle counts/inventory variance checks and shrink analytics in Excel (lookups, pivots).
Understanding of core life-safety practices (evacuation routes, alarm response) and safe work around forklifts/yard traffic.
Strong judgment, confidentiality, and interpersonal skills; can work with Ops, HR, IT, and EHS without drama.
Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security-related software.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
