Hours/Week: 10 hours

Expected Term: 2/6/26–1/30/27

Compensation: $15.92

Position Overview The Office of Communications, Marketing, and Brand Management is looking for a Web Content Specialist to assist TCNJ’s web team with web content management using WordPress and other systems.

The student in this role will work directly with the Web Content Manager and Front-End Web Developer for up to 10 hours per week. A weekly schedule will be set in alignment with the student’s availability within the workweek (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Prefer candidates willing to work through the full year: fall, winter, spring, and summer.

Responsibilities

Review site content, migrate websites to the new Gutenberg editing system, and guide site editors through the new editor onboarding process.

Test new WordPress blocks and website interfaces.

Complete website support tickets through our support system (TeamDynamix).

Assist the web content manager with an annual web audit for brand standards, web accessibility, and search engine optimization.

Assist the web team with web projects as assigned, which can include creating new web pages, merging website content, optimizing images for the web, and reformatting page layouts.

Communicate updates to clients about their request.

Required Qualifications

Basic skills with HTML 5 and CSS.

Previous experience with Photoshop.

Ability to juggle multiple assignments with varying deadlines and a strong eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with WordPress.

Search engine optimization experience is a plus.
