The Direct Care Aide assists residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. No prior experience is required, as on-the-job training is provided through a DSS-approved School of Nursing.* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility* Provide assistance with meals, feeding, and hydration as needed* Observe and report changes in residents’ physical condition, behavior, or emotional status* Support residents with medication reminders in accordance with Virginia assisted living regulations* Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment* Document care provided in accordance with facility and DSS requirements* Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and supervisors* Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies* Promote resident rights, dignity, and independence at all times## QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMust be at least 18 years old
