
Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers with order entry and addressing inquiries related to products, services, and account activity. This role focuses on delivering high-quality customer support, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring customer satisfaction while serving as a reliable point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams. The position requires professionalism, accuracy, and a strong commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Order Management
Enter customer orders, credits, and invoicing information accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist customers with order inquiries, issues, and problem resolution.
Provide professional, informative, and courteous assistance to customers, vendors, and the public.
Communicate clearly and promptly to ensure customer questions are answered accurately.
Vendor & Sample Coordination
Contact vendors to request samples on behalf of customers.
Prepare and submit sample requests and special orders as needed.
Administrative & Team Support
Perform daily administrative tasks including checking emails, faxes, and mail.
Maintain accurate documentation related to orders, credits, and customer requests.
Attend required training sessions and Customer Service meetings.
Work collaboratively as a team member within the department and organization.
Perform additional duties as assigned to best support company operations.
Qualifications & Requirements Education
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience
Previous customer service experience required.
Call center and/or foodservice industry experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Strong data entry and keyboarding skills; Ten Key experience preferred.
Ability to solve customer problems using established procedures and guidelines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
Professional demeanor when interacting with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
Work Environment
Primarily sedentary role involving extended periods of sitting and keyboarding.
Office-based customer service environment.
