The role is based on‑site at a customer facility. It involves directly coordinating, scheduling, and participating in work with the customer in accordance with the partnership agreement. The specialist will work as part of a team that develops, operates and manages Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane’s clients.
The core responsibilities are to collect routine Condition Monitoring data, conduct first‑line analysis and reporting, partner with engineers to capture advanced data, and engage in troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
Operate and develop Condition Monitoring programs for John Crane clients.
Conduct routine Condition Monitoring surveys at our clients’ premises.
Conduct analysis of routine vibration data.
Report vibration and oil analysis results with associated corrective maintenance recommendations.
Interface with the client for the on‑site delivery of Condition Monitoring services.
Conduct periodic on‑site pump performance testing and reporting.
Calculate the cost benefit of carrying out recommendations using a defined process.
Work within the requirements of the Integrated Management System.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineer degree preferred and/or equivalent, and relevant work experience with rotating equipment.
Minimum Certified Category II Vibration Analyst through a recognized institution.
Minimum two years of experience preferred in vibration analysis for condition monitoring of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors).
Working knowledge of computers, MS Office and specialist vibration monitoring software.
Vibration Analysis ISO 18436‑2 Category 2, or equivalent preferred.
Lubrication Analysis ISO 18436‑4 Category 2, or equivalent preferred.
Preferred skills such as thermography, rotor dynamics analysis, laser alignment and electrical tests.
Experience working in a diverse environment with a global company is a plus.
