# Marketing ManagerLOS ANGELES COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION - POMONA, CA 91768## DescriptionWorking under direction of the Vice President of Marketing and Sales, the Marketing Manager is responsible for the effective overall management and execution of marketing, brand development and positioning, promotions, advertising, diversity markets programs, market research ad intelligence.**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**Directly responsible for development, supervision and overall administration of:
•
Fiscal management of Fairplex comprehensive marketing budget to meet organization goals.
•
Trade and consumer advertising, promotions, paid social media and marketing programs designed to promote attendance growth at the Los Angeles County Fair, increased awareness and utilization of Fairplex, and support and trial of the Fairplex brands.
•
Diversity and community-based market strategies and programs to maintain and cultivate business relationships with strategic community organizations reflective of the diversity of our market.
•
Marketing support and services to all Fairplex business units and strategic partners to meet revenue and attendance targets.
•
Advertising, promotions, marketing, research, and design agencies as required to develop marketing and sales programs and products that ensure reinforcement of corporate brand identity and reflect business goals that lead to sustainable competitive advantages.
•
Brand image, identity, integrity and positioning for Fairplex and the Los Angeles County Fair to reflect business strategies that lead to sustainable competitive advantages.
•
All aspects of qualitative and quantitative research essential to marketing and planning programs, evaluating test markets, and improving corporate decision-making effectiveness.
•
Cross-promotional programs for Fairplex to leverage our existing customer base.
•
The design, maintenance, promotion of the websites and marketing initiatives for the Fairplex, Fair and various new business and self-produced event web sites.

Perform other duties as required.## QualificationsRequires any combination of training and experience in marketing, sales, advertising, promotions or communications equivalent to the successful completion of undergraduate course work from an accredited college or university and at least five years of responsible experience in an advertising or promotions environment.
Must be a proven leader, be able to manage several activities and projects simultaneously and be able to work effectively under pressure and deadlines.
Must be an effective decision-maker, and possess the ability to develop strategic business and operations plans.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to type and operate a 10-key calculator.
Must have knowledge of computer operations including (but not limited to) word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Must have a working knowledge of data entry and accounting.
Requires organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
Requires the ability to work weekends, some evenings and Fair Days.**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB**

Must be able to type and use various computer software applications.

Ability to move around the grounds.
3.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
