Role Summary Reporting to the Showroom Manager, the Lighting Sales Consultant is a key member of the Kendall Lighting Center sales team. The person in this role maintains positive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service. They are responsible for selling a wide variety of lighting products to customers visiting or calling in, merchandising new accessories and pricing, and maintaining cleanliness and order of the showroom floor.

Exciting work you will do The essential duties and responsibilities of the Lighting Consultant position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

Greet and assist customers visiting or calling in

Sell a wide variety of lighting products to customers visiting or calling in

Maintain and grow customer sales and gross profits to meet Company growth objectives

Merchandise new accessories and price them as required

Maintain cleanliness and order of the showroom

Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards

Perform other duties as assigned

What you\'ll need

Work Experience:

1 year of customer service experience

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Analytics/Computer Skills:

Experience with MS Office; strong computer and typing skills

Organization Skills:

Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment

Cross-functional Skills:

Ability to work well cross-functionally; excellent internal and external customer service; willingness to learn quickly; ability to work independently and as part of a team

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills

Physical, Mental & Visual Skills:

Ability to sit, talk, and listen; ability to stand and lift up to 40 lbs frequently; ability to climb stairs; reasonable accommodations may be made

Physical Environment:

Normal showroom environment

Qualifications we prefer but don\'t require

Previous lighting showroom sales experience
