Business Development Manager - International Air/Ocean
Salary - $75k to $125k base plus commission.

A minimum of 2/3 years of sales experience within the freight forwarding industry is required.

Role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for maintaining and growing a book of business, as well as expanding regional import/export sales in Air/Ocean internationally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop new business through research, prospecting, and qualifying new opportunities, including customer visits and relationship development within the defined geographical area.
Increase market share within the assigned territory and meet financial targets for volume, revenue, and profit.
Close new business deals and onboard new clients.
Expand market share within the existing client base.
Maintain contact with clients to ensure high satisfaction levels.
Collaborate with the Pricing team on client pricing strategies and rate quotes.
Monitor and manage clients' credit lines within company guidelines.
Keep the Company’s CRM updated.
Provide regular updates and monthly budget reviews to management.
Client and Supplier Management
Manage allocated clients using established tools to meet and exceed targets.
Follow up weekly with new clients after initial shipments.
Disseminate contract information with customers and suppliers to relevant parties.
Ensure timely completion of customer requests related to commercial activities at the highest service level.
Adhere to client service level agreements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Confidence in retaining current clients (no non-compete restrictions).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Commitment to exceeding client expectations.
Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM systems.
Having a book of business is a plus.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Self-motivated and results-oriented.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Effective time management.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
