Summary of Position

Virtusa’s healthcare IT solutions drive the shift to value‑based care. This Account Director will report into the Healthcare Segment and work closely with the segment leadership team to expand Virtusa’s client base in a specific region or accounts by prospecting and acquiring new logos/relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Expand Virtusa’s client base in designated accounts, achieving top‑line and bottom‑line targets.
  • Sell new service offerings and solutions to achieve targeted results.
  • Provide leadership and vision to the Account team to achieve business goals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to achieve revenue targets.
  • Drive business development to expand market share in the Healthcare Business Segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Develop and manage the account budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Monitor KPIs, financial performance and optimize resource allocation.
  • Implement best practices in IT service management, project management, and operational processes.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards of data security and privacy per applicable laws.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a client‑facing or sales role within IT professional services or management consulting.
  • Experience managing quarterly revenue targets and pipeline, leading the sales process from initial meeting to contract close.
  • Experience with global service delivery model.
  • Strong strategic planning, business development, and leadership skills.
  • In‑depth knowledge of IT services, solutions, and market trends in healthcare.
  • Proven financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex business environments and drive change.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Post‑Graduate Diploma in Management/MBA preferred.

Travel as required.
