Medical Director | MO License

Concert Health, a mission‑driven behavioral health medical group, is hiring a Medical Director with an active Missouri medical license to lead psychiatric consultation within the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM). The role combines direct clinical consultation, clinical innovation, and strategic medical leadership across a state‑wide partnership.

Job Summary

As the psychiatric lead, you will provide systematic case review (SCR), develop and deliver training for primary care and collaborative care clinicians, serve as the primary medical liaison to partner organizations, and partner with internal teams to implement and adapt clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly systematic case reviews (SCR) with Collaborative Care Clinicians (CCCs) to provide psychiatric consultation and treatment recommendations (6–10 patient reviews per hour).
  • Provide real‑time supervisory/consultation support to CCCs, other primary care providers (PCPs), and physicians as needed.
  • Supervise and provide clinical oversight to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PCs within their respective states.
  • Develop and deliver training for PCPs, PCs, and CCCs on high‑yield clinical topics related to behavioral health identification, diagnosis, and treatment through a CoCM lens.
  • Support provider activation efforts to increase appropriate patient referrals into CoCM and identify opportunities for system improvement.
  • Serve as the primary medical liaison to the partner organization’s PCPs, medical directors, and clinical leaders, designing learning agendas and leading educational sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement and adapt clinical guidelines in alignment with partner needs and travel to in‑person partner meetings as required.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree with active, unrestricted Missouri medical license.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry required; subspecialty certification or demonstrated experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of post‑residency clinical experience and 5 years of demonstrated clinical leadership.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across clinical and operational teams in large or complex health systems.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with integrated care models—particularly CoCM—and proficiency in evidence‑based pharmacological and psychosocial treatment approaches.
  • Technical proficiency in EHRs (Epic, Cerner) and standard productivity suites.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Remote with occasional travel (up to 15%) for on‑site partner meetings and professional presentations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $280,000 – $310,000 base pay, based on experience and location.
