Oracle’s Government, Defense & Intelligence team seeks a dynamic Area Vice President of Sales to accelerate growth and innovation, shaping the future of cloud and enterprise technology for the U.S. Department of War and other strategic defense customers.
Hybrid position – 3 days a week in‑office work and/or meetings at the client site.
Location requirement – Candidates must be based in the Reston VA / Greater Washington DC area.

- Align with C‑level DoW stakeholders to deliver powerful Cloud, SaaS, and On‑Prem Application solutions—helping customers solve their toughest challenges and achieve their vital missions.
- Drive disciplined pipeline management and foster a culture of continuous improvement, expanding Oracle’s footprint across highly strategic accounts.

About the Role
As Area Vice President you’ll oversee two Sales Managers and their teams, setting vision and direction while maintaining critical leadership continuity and executional discipline. You’ll collaborate with Oracle executives, product experts, and our defense customers’ most senior leaders, ensuring that Oracle is a trusted mission partner.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of successful technology sales management experience within the DoW or defense sector.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving account growth, building winning teams, and navigating complex government sales cycles.
- Solid expertise in Cloud, SaaS, and On‑Prem enterprise solutions.
- Relationship builder with a disciplined, strategic approach to business development and pipeline health.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Range and Benefits
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $153,000 – $314,100 per year. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 45 / 55.
