Job Description
Position Summary
Uniphore is seeking a visionary and experienced Vice President of Strategic Communications to elevate our communications strategy and voice at a pivotal moment in the rapidly evolving enterprise AI landscape, cementing our position as the category‑defining leader in Business AI. The ideal candidate will develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that advance the organization's mission, enhance brand visibility, and support internal and external stakeholder engagement. This role will oversee corporate communications, media relations, analyst relations, and employee communications, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across all messaging.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive, forward‑thinking multi‑channel communications strategy aligned with Uniphore’s business goals, category definition, product innovation, offering, thought leadership, and industry trends in enterprise AI.
- Own and evolve the company’s narrative around AI innovation, industry transformation, open and composable ecosystem approaches, and secure, sovereign use of AI for business.
- Lead strategic narrative development around AI innovation for business.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team on communication strategy, public positioning, and thought leadership.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Customer Success to create and amplify narratives that demonstrate real‑world business outcomes.
Media and Public Relations
- Identify appropriate print and broadcast media, build strong relationships with business, tech, and vertical‑specific media, and proactively pitch stories and secure coverage in top‑tier outlets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key media contacts, journalists, and influencers, including print media such as WSJ, Bloomberg, Reuters, Financial Times, NYT, AP, Washington Post, The Guardian, Wired and others; broadcast media including CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business Network and others.
- Identify and engage with emerging AI influencers for social media and other digital media outlets.
- Drive media strategy to secure coverage in top‑tier publications and trade outlets, showcasing customer success stories, product innovation, and company milestones.
- Develop briefing materials, thought leadership content, and media training for executives and subject matter experts.
- Oversee the development of press releases, media kits, Q&As, and thought leadership articles.
- Position Uniphore as a credible, leading voice in the global conversation around AI through op‑eds, interviews, and speaking engagements.
- Oversee and grow Uniphore’s PR agency relationships to scale global campaigns and ensure execution excellence across regions.
Analyst Relations
- Develop and execute comprehensive AR strategy and global analyst relations program to position Uniphore as a recognized leader in AI innovation.
- Influence evaluations, leading efforts to improve positioning in key analyst reports and determine which categories and reports Uniphore should participate in.
- Work with key analysts to create new emerging categories around AI Platforms.
- Help set product requirements and gather key support case studies to place Uniphore as a top leadership in AI market evaluations.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with analysts covering AI, automation, and customer experience markets.
- Proactively brief analysts on company strategy, product innovations, customer success stories, and roadmap developments.
- Coordinate inquiries, briefings, and research participation.
- Track analyst research, trends, and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy and messaging.
- Evaluate program success and business impact through visibility metrics, sentiment tracking, and influence on pipeline and perception.
Internal Communications
- Partner with the People team to design internal communications strategies that keep employees informed, inspired, and aligned.
- Foster alignment and transparency through executive messaging, company‑wide updates, and internal campaigns.
Qualifications And Preferred Experience
- 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR, or media relations, with significant leadership experience at global B2B tech or enterprise SaaS companies.
- Experience in a high‑growth startup or scaling technology business; IPO experience a plus.
- Experience in enterprise software, cloud platforms, data platforms, or AI/ML‑based products.
- Proven success developing and executing multi‑channel communication strategies spanning print, broadcast media, and industry analysts.
- Exceptional media relations skills and experience managing new narratives for emerging categories.
- Cultivated strong relationships with top‑tier journalists and media, securing favorable placements in WSJ, Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business Network and others.
- Primary liaison with key analyst firms, ensuring consistent representation in key categories and defining new industry categories.
- Exceptional storytelling, messaging, and writing skills; ability to simplify complex AI/tech narratives for diverse audiences.
- Experience working with C‑suite leaders and managing executive visibility for media and speaking engagements.
- Experience managing and scaling agency partnerships across multiple geographies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize technical information into accessible messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and complex projects in fast‑paced environments.
- High integrity, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
- Experience leading crisis communications and issues management.
- Proficiency with AI tools and media analytics platforms.
Hiring Range
$242,400 — $333,300 (Primary Location: USA – CA – Palo Alto). The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience. In addition to competitive base pay, this position also includes an annual incentive opportunity based on target achievement, pre‑IPO stock options, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with a match, and more, plus generous paid time off, paid holidays, paid day off for your birthday, and other paid leave policies to support employees through all phases of life.
