Position Summary
The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalist Physician to join its dedicated inpatient medicine team in the Shelton, CT region.
This full-time, permanent role includes managing hospitalized adult patients, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and supporting inpatient quality initiatives. Physicians work with strong nursing teams, specialists, and case management resources within a well-structured hospitalist program.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for patients
- Perform admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in the hospital setting
- Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, case managers, and support teams
- Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation
- Participate in patient safety programs, hospital committees, and quality initiatives
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for Connecticut state medical licensure
- Prior hospitalist experience preferred; fresh graduates encouraged to apply
- Strong clinical decision-making and teamwork skills
