Legal Aid generally provides two salary increases per year, depending on funding availability: a cost‑of‑living increase at the beginning of the year and a step increase in July.

Benefits include fully paid health insurance, annual discretionary retirement match, 13 paid holidays, personal leave, and generous annual and sick leave allotments starting at 15 days each per year.

This position is not included in the bargaining unit represented by the National Organization of Legal Services Workers, UAW Local 2320 and is categorized as a confidential employee.

New hires start with a 4‑day in‑person schedule for the first two months of employment, then move to a 2‑3 day a week hybrid schedule.
