Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership and a proven track record of guiding teams to transform mixed Radio Frequency (RF) signal software‑defined prototypes into fully launched and supported products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the development and maturation of RF signal software‑defined prototypes focused on Non‑Terrestrial Network SATCOM/5G/6G Technologies like those used with AST SpaceMobile LEO Satellites.
- Oversee the entire technical product lifecycle, from initial concept through to product launch and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Develop and implement technical strategies to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of RF systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in RF and SDR technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive product innovation.
- Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.
- Implement best systems engineering design processes and methods.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on RF and SDR technologies.
- Proven experience in technical leadership and team management.
- Strong understanding of RF signal processing, modulation techniques, and communication protocols.
- Proficiency in evaluating and testing SDR and other radio platforms (e.g., GNU Radio, MATLAB, Simulink).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with product development and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards for RF systems.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- 5G stack and NTN expertise and experience.
