Counter Salesperson

We are seeking a Counter Sales Representative to join our electrical distribution team. This position is the first point of contact for customers and plays a key role in delivering outstanding service, accurate product solutions, and efficient order processing. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong product knowledge (or a willingness to learn), and takes pride in building lasting customer relationships. Reports to: Profit Center Manager Minimum Qualifications: Previous experience in electrical distribution, wholesale, construction supply, or related industry preferred Knowledge of electrical products (conduit, wire, lighting, switchgear, breakers, etc.) a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment Basic computer skills and experience with order entry systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/counter environment Essential Job Functions: Provide prompt, professional service to customers at the sales counter and over the phone Assist customers with product selection, pricing, availability, and technical questions Prepare quotes, process orders, and enter sales transactions accurately in the system Pull, stage, and coordinate orders for customer pickup or delivery Collaborate with warehouse and inside sales teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment Maintain a clean, organized counter and showroom area Resolve customer issues and follow up to ensure satisfaction Support inventory accuracy by assisting with stock checks and restocking as needed CED is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability | Veteran Other Compensation: The following additional compensation may be applicable for this position: Commission Profit Sharing Benefits available for this position are: Insurance - Medical, Dental, Vision Care for full-time positions Disability Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Paid Sick Leave Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Health Savings Account (HSA) and matching Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Teledoc Paid Pregnancy & New Parent Leave
