Pre-Owned Sales Manager
Our dealership is seeking an experienced and results-driven
Pre-Owned Vehicle Manager
to lead and grow our used car operation. The ideal candidate will have a
proven track record of profitability, inventory management, and team leadership , with
CDJR experience strongly preferred .
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of the pre-owned vehicle department, including inventory acquisition, pricing, merchandising, and reconditioning
Source through auctions, trades, direct purchases, and manufacturer channels
Analyze market data to ensure competitive pricing and optimal inventory mix
Work closely with Sales, F&I, and Service departments to maximize profitability and efficiency
Monitor and improve key performance metrics (turn rate, days supply, front/back gross, recon costs)
Train, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve departmental goals
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and dealership policies
Maintain high CSI standards and a customer-first culture
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of pre-owned/used car management experience
Proven record of achieving sales, gross, and inventory turn targets
CDJR dealership experience is a strong plus
Strong knowledge of used vehicle sourcing, appraisal, and market trends
Experience with inventory management and pricing tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
