Description:

Preschool Level II Special Education Associate

Class B, 7.5 hrs./day, 144 days/year. $14.94/hr. or $15.34/hr. with Associate’s Degree or higher or a paraeducator certificate.

Paraeducator Certificate

Associate/ Bachelor Degree

Two Years of College

IQPPS

Meets requirements; or has the equivalent; or is enrolled and working toward a CDA® or the equivalent (Must include generalist and EC Certificates)

Responsibilities

Accompany students to their activities.

Keep students on task and organized.

Assist students with personal hygiene needs.

Supervise students in cafeteria, classrooms, playground, and patrol duties.

Use computer and typing skills.

Have basic understanding of math, science, and reading and writing skills, with ability to check students’ work.

Capable of working with students in small groups (or individually, one-on-one).

Follow written and oral directions.

MANDT Training and Behavior Management preferred.

Mobility and ability to lift required.

Other duties as assigned.

May require additional hours to help with students’ bussing needs.
