Outreach Representative

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) seeks a Vermonter to join his state-based Senate team as an Outreach Representative. This position serves as an extension of the Senator, acting as his eyes and ears throughout the state, meeting with people to understand their struggles and share the senator’s vision of making government work for working people. The position requires regular travel throughout Vermont to build trust and relationships with Vermonters who are too often ignored or taken for granted by those in power. That means meeting regularly with seniors, students, veterans, union workers, and the poor. A successful candidate will be equally at ease meeting with a worker on a job site, organizing a youth event, or speaking at a press conference. The Office looks for individuals who are excited to try new things and problem solve, are organized and communicative, thrive in an ever-changing environment, and have a deep understanding and love of Vermont. An ability to think strategically and act in a fast-paced environment is strongly preferred. The Senator’s office is an equal opportunity employer.
