Overview

This position is located in the Office of the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Visitor Services. The incumbent serves as the Director, Planning, Evaluation, and Operations Division and provides executive leadership for the strategic planning, evaluation, and operational management of programs supporting the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC).

Qualifications

  • You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management\'s (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position.   • Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
  • To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service (or equivalent experience) that includes: Leading executive level strategic planning and operations for a complex organization, including development and execution of annual strategic and operational plans; Exercising authority over budget formulation, execution, and financial governance, including oversight of annual budgets and internal controls; Directing evaluation, research, and performance management initiatives and implementation of organizational improvements; Leading human capital and workforce management programs, including supervision through subordinate supervisors and coordination of labor relations; Exercising broad independent judgment and decision-making authority in high visibility environments; Coordination with or oversight of technology, infrastructure, or technical service functions in support of organizational objectives.
