We’re working with a growing public accounting firm that’s looking to add a Tax Senior Manager to its leadership team.
This is a true senior-level role for someone who enjoys owning client relationships, leading teams, and playing an active role in how a tax practice operates and grows — not just reviewing returns.
The Opportunity
As a Tax Senior Manager, you’ll serve as a primary advisor to clients while overseeing workflow across the tax department. You’ll be trusted to manage complex engagements, mentor staff, and contribute to practice development and firm initiatives.
This role is ideal for a Senior Manager (or an experienced Manager ready for the next step) who wants more influence, autonomy, and long-term upside in a collaborative firm environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and manage key client relationships; serve as the primary point of contact
- Oversee a portfolio of tax engagements, ensuring quality, timeliness, and strong realization
- Provide value-added tax planning and advisory services
- Lead, mentor, and coach staff and seniors through ongoing feedback and development
- Manage department workflow, delegation, and engagement efficiencyLeverage internal and external resources to solve complex technical issues
- Participate in practice development, referral relationships, and proposal efforts
- Act as a leader and culture carrier within the firm
What They’re Looking For
- 6–7+ years of experience in public accounting
- CPA required
- Strong background managing client relationships and complex engagements
- Proven people leadership and mentoring experience
- Comfort serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and key stakeholders
- Interest in contributing beyond client work (practice growth, firm initiatives, leadership)
