Position Summary The Leasing Consultant is responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for prospective and current residents. This role focuses on leasing apartments, conducting property tours, and assisting with resident relations. The Leasing Consultant plays a key role in achieving occupancy goals while representing Decron Properties with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and assist residents , prospective residents, and vendors with professionalism and courtesy. R espond to inquiries via phone, text, email, and in person
Conduct property tours, highlighting community features , available units , and apartment amenities
Explain lease terms, pricing, policies, and application procedures clearly and accurately
Assist applicants through the leasing process, including screening , income requirements, applicable fees , and documentation
Prepare lease agreements, renewals, and related paperwork in compliance with company procedures including utility information, pet policies, parking, additional fees as applicable, and co-applicants
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of available units , rental rates, occupancy, and current promotions
Follow up with prospects and maintain strong , consistent communication to maximize leasing conversion rates
Monitor local competition, including pricing trends, occupancy, and amenities to support leasing strategies
Support marketing efforts, including posting online ads and distributing materials , and social media content
Assist in organizing resident events and fostering a positive community atmosphere
Address resident questions and elevate complex issues to the Community Manager when necessary
Assist with community inspections and curb appeal checks
Participating in team huddles
Back up team members as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of customer service, sales, or administrative experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Ability to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed
Professional appearance and demeanor
Comfortable using property management systems and technology tools
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in multi-family residential leasing
Familiarity with Yardi, AppFolio, or similar property management software
Bilingual in English and Spanish or another language commonly spoken in the area
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Combination of office and on-site apartment tours
Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs during property tours
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
