Burrow Global is currently seeking an experienced Lead Piping Designer / Checker to join our engineering team in Deer Park, TX.
As a Lead Piping Designer / Checker, you will play a crucial lead role in our projects, particularly in pipeline design, compressor station design, and mid-stream operations.
Responsibilities / Duties Lead efforts in pipeline design, compressor station design, and mid-stream operations to create comprehensive design packages.
Provide checking / redline reviews of engineering drawing produced by the design team.
Develop process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrument diagrams (P&ID), general equipment layouts, facility plot plans, and equipment and instrument lists.
Assist in the development of Project Scopes, Engineering / Design Scopes, and Construction Scopes of Work.
Conduct thorough research, verification, illustration, and documentation of drawings.
Perform field verification as necessary.
Check and update drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Maintain file organization and package maintenance.
Collaborate effectively with vendor partners and client representatives.
Requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD, CadWorx, and Bluebeam.
Associates Degree in Drafting or Design preferred.
Minimum of a High School Diploma.
15+ years of experience in piping design. 5 years of checking experience.
Strong drafting ability and project organization skills.
Ability to follow instructions from project engineers while being innovative in problem-solving.
Experience with design preparation tasks such as piping plans, sections, details, and isometrics.
Attention to detail in design drawing layouts and P&IDs.
