Position Summary Pursues, develops, and leads new business efforts nationally and specifically in the Texas market; advances the presence of the firm within the market; oversees planning and execution of client programs to exceed business objectives and to grow existing business; manages and cultivates staff members; makes significant contribution to the strategic direction of the firm in the market and more broadly across the U.S. and globally.

Client/Team Management

Provide senior-most counsel, serving as part of a trusted circle of advisors and engaging at the C‑Suite level.

Demonstrate understanding of and genuine commitment to the continuous improvement of the practice of communications and ensure high quality customer service.

Oversee client service function for program planning, problem solving and strategic counsel.

Possess a solutions‑driven mindset for servicing clients and shaping the team.

Research/Writing/Digital Fluency

Understand the North American energy market and how it relates to business, finance, sustainability, and the global energy conversation writ large.

Media/Analyst Relations

Counsel team to develop media relations strategy for programs/projects.

Staff senior‑most media interviews with clients as needed and provide feedback following the call.

Conduct media trainings.

Messaging and Strategy

Oversee the development of client messaging projects.

Oversee research, planning, & development of comprehensive campaigns.

Set the strategy and direction for client campaigns and deliverables.

Stay on top of trends in the industry, bringing them to the attention of clients and colleagues, as appropriate.

Collaboration & Leadership

Actively develop team and provide coaching and feedback.

Set tone to teams on what metrics to measure, and possesses the confidence to provide a rationale.

Help drive knowledge sharing and creativity across teams in a group and across the agency.

New Business

Identify new growth opportunities based on insights into the company, client, industry and economy.

Generate new business revenue at a level set that is aligned with industry and firm norms, as well as the firm’s financial goals.

Maintain minimum billability as set by the CEO on an annual basis.

Grow business prospects in Texas with existing clients; lead new business outreach.

Process and win business. Participate in the development and adoption of new products/services, leverage IP with clients.

Contribute to marketing and presence‑building for Silverline through participation in industry organizations and events (SLC will support financially and organizations will be discussed with management to ensure maximum outreach).

Grow accounts organically by introducing clients to relevant Silverline services.

Demonstrate strong presentation skills when participating in new business pitches.

Develop new business presentations and proposals that can (eventually) be pitched without oversight.

Financial & Business Acumen

Maintain financial responsibility for accounts including forecasting and account profitability.

Follow all Silverline financial policies and procedures; submits timesheets consistently on time.

Help account directors/managers lead financial management for your accounts.

Help plan and evaluate team structures to maximize project profitability and quality.

Work with teams and management on time allocation and hours to minimize over service.

Draft SOWs and budget development for programs.

Manage own time in accordance with allocations and works with supervisor/account leads to flag bandwidth issues.

Performs additional related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications The qualified candidate will have extensive professional experience with vast knowledge of the energy industry and leading industry segments such as clean energy, energy policy, and finance. The individual will be considered an expert in the field of clean energy marketing communications with a broad scope of understanding. A wide commercial network spanning investors, startup incubators/networks, major companies, and local, state, and federal government will be necessary. Proven business-building and agency management are key requirements. Demonstrated strategic mindset, creative approach, collaborative practice. Agency experience preferred.
