Responsibilities Municipal and On-Street Parking Market Intelligence

Understand the market and potential clients

Know the client specification and requirements

Know the characteristics and profile of existing clients

Participate in professional organizations

Maintain the municipal pipeline by coordinating with business development staff

Gather data and info from alliances with other vendors

Assist in conducting presentations to prospective clients with municipal and on-street parking needs

Attend trade shows and conferences including IPI shows

Meet with clients across the country as resident expert in field in meters, enforcement, ticket processing, and collection services.

Build and maintain relationships with clients

Review and evaluate all RFPs as they relate to meters, enforcement, ticket processing, and collection services

Assist with proposals as they relate to meters, enforcement, ticket processing, and collection services Perform feasibility studies.

Municipal and On-street Parking Program Development

Gather data and benchmark standards

Keep abreast of changing technology and methods

Appropriately applying knowledge to the needs of a specific city, municipality, university, or hospital

Define and implement the necessary practices and procedures to effectively operate and deliver meter, enforcement, ticket processing, and collection services

Develop operating plans, marketing materials and sales packet strategies

Assist in development of training plans for municipal and on-street parking employees

Develop standardized operation plans for company wide use

Review significant municipal or on street proposals for adequacy

Assist in business development efforts including client meetings and proposal presentations

Develop a group of individuals within the company who can effectively support the company’s on street and municipal business endeavors across North America

Municipal and On-street Parking Program Operation

Review and evaluate existing municipal and on-street parking operations

Review audit reports

Identify problems and write recommendations for improvement

Conduct on-site visitsAct as resident expert for internal on-site managers

Identify areas for nationwide pricing

Identify preferred vendors or partners

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Five to Eight years of municipal on-street parking management experience

CAPP certifications (Certified Administrator of Public Parking)

Presentation Skills

Selling skills Negotiating skills

Product Knowledge

Above-average Microsoft office sills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to evaluate specifications in an RFP

Ability to evaluate and deliver sound recommendations for improvement of process

Ability to identify issues and troubleshootAdvanced knowledge of on-street Parking technology

Familiarity with various methods and software applications as they relate to on-street parking

Knowledge of the AS400

Ability to interpret contract language

Familiarity with state statutes and ordinances as they relate to on-street parking

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Understanding the political climates of various municipalities.
