
Freight Sales Executive

Summary
As a Freight Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving new sales, maintaining existing business, and achieving revenue targets by managing the entire sales cycle—from lead generation, prospect qualification, and pricing to proposal preparation, presentations, and post‑sale follow‑up. You'll initiate calls with potential customers, collaborate on sales and presentation materials, and coordinate responses to RFQs with internal teams. In addition, you'll handle account management tasks, including contract updates, pricing adjustments, problem resolution, and quarterly business reviews, ensuring strong and productive client relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and follow‑up.
Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
Conduct market research and stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Provide exceptional customer service and support, including responding to customer inquiries, resolving customer issues, and managing customer accounts.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of customer shipments.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Efficiently plan approaches and pitches.
Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
Develop customer base.
Freight solicitation of sales, including cold calling from company or self‑generated call list.
Ensure performance to the branch’s goals and objectives through individual goal success.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties, as assigned.
Coordinate complete sales cycle process including lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation, and presentation.
Start‑up and customer service follow‑up.
Required Skills & Abilities

Work Environment
Office setting with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
