*Position Overview*
We’re seeking a skilled HVAC Lead Installer to spearhead installations, mentor apprentices, and ensure every job exceeds expectations. This full-time role offers competitive pay of $30-$45 per hour (based on experience), plus performance bonuses that reward your expertise. *Key Responsibilities*
* Lead end-to-end HVAC installations, including gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, air handlers, ductless mini-splits, rooftop units, ventilation systems, and ductwork, all per manufacturer specs and local codes.
* Design, fabricate, and install duct fittings, wiring for indoor/outdoor units, refrigerant lines (including brazing, ZoomLock, and pump-down techniques), thermostats, and zone panels.
* Handle refrigerants safely, including new A2L low-GWP types (EPA certification required).
* Oversee job-site efficiency: Pre-measure for materials, remove old equipment, install new systems, and manage workflows in attics, crawlspaces, and diverse environments.
* Mentor and train apprentices or helpers—bring your trusted apprentice if you have one, and we’ll integrate them into our team!
* Deliver outstanding customer service, maintaining high satisfaction through clear communication and problem-solving.
* Stock vehicles properly, return unused parts, complete administrative tasks, and perform other duties as needed to keep operations smooth.
What We’re Looking For
* 3-5+ years of progressive HVAC installation experience, with proven leadership in team settings.
* EPA certification and strong technical skills in residential/commercial systems.
* Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision, while thriving in a collaborative family atmosphere.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills—calm under pressure and resourceful on the job.
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in Plainville, CT, and surrounding areas.
* Bonus: Experience with geothermal systems or a passion for mentoring.
