
1st American Insurance Agency in Longmont, CO is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. We are an established, yet growing insurance agency on the Front Range. Responsibilities
Service commercial line accounts, review and process new and renewal policies, prevent gap or lapse in coverage.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in processing within the agency management system.
Process endorsements received from the various carriers. Process request for any incorrect endorsements.
Prepare and send Insured letters associated with processed documents.
Provide knowledge of insurance coverages, products, markets, and industry updates to analyze client needs and exposures during the sales process on new/renewal business and cross‑selling opportunities.
Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages and rating.
Evaluate risk to determine placement and processing of commercial lines applications.
Review applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for accuracy and compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines.
Follow up on application, loss analysis, and other pertinent information to all eligible and appropriate carriers for new and renewal business.
Maintains all client activity in the agency automation system documenting any and all correspondence.
Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timely and professional manner.
Adhere to Commercial Lines Best Practices including written confirmation of new and renewal binding, evidence of coverage, changes to coverage and other related items.
Process client requests in a timely and professional manner.
Provide direction to clients in submitting claims reports, facilitate prompt response from carrier.
Process commercial line binders following agency procedures.
Rate and calculate endorsements, cancellations, additional or return premiums when required.
Keeps producers informed of all important activities on their accounts, including being sensitive to potential problems.
Maintain State of Colorado licensing and designation requirements.
Demonstrate teamwork in working with other agency employees.
Qualifications Required Licensure: Colorado Property & Casualty Insurance License
High School graduate or GED, college preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office products, EZLynx software preferred
