Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Saturday

Work Location Status: Fully on-site for the first 30-90 days at the Edwardsville, IL Headquarters. After successful completion of probationary period, position may be eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Employees in hybrid or remote roles may be required to return on-site periodically for meetings, events, or other work-related needs as determined by their manager.

About The Role Under the supervision of the Direct Lending Operations Team Lead, responsible for executing SCU’s member engagement model to inform and educate members on consumer lending products and services offered by SCU. Maintains a deep knowledge of SCU’s lending products and services and displays the ability to determine how these services can enhance and broaden a member’s financial picture. Responsible for final processing, funding, and completion of a variety of consumer loans, credit cards, and centralized lending related functions. Requires an ability to communicate effectively with prospective and current members via telephone, email, and video (i.e. Skype) and chat. Consumer Loan Direct Processor will represent the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

What You’ll Do

Provides direct support for both online/mobile, telephone, and Branch Network loan applications.

Process lending transactions for members including such functions as processing loan documents, assisting with opening of loan and banking accounts, issuing checks, and process title loan title work, if applicable.

Provides members services by contacting members with updates on pending loan applications from time of approval, through loan closing, after funding, and until title has been perfected, if applicable.

Responsible for the review of loan supporting documents to ensure accuracy, and completion, of documents before proceeding with the loan closing.

Responsible for following up on collateralized titles to ensure that SCU lien is placed properly and within specific lending guideline timeframes.

What You Bring

High school diploma or GED.

Experience working within a financial institution.

Personal computer experience to include Microsoft Windows applications.
