Portfolio Monitoring Analyst
to join its growing team. This role is ideal for candidates from a
financial background
who are keen to move into a more
commercial, analysis-focused role
within private equity, rather than a traditional accounting career path.
The Role As a Portfolio Monitoring Analyst, you will work closely with investment professionals and portfolio company management teams to analyse performance, track value creation initiatives, and support data-driven decision‑making across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and analysing the financial performance of portfolio companies against budgets, forecasts, and investment cases
Reviewing and building financial models, including operating models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
Supporting the development of KPIs, dashboards, and reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders
Analysing large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio
Assisting with valuation analysis, covenant monitoring, and lender reporting
Partnering with deal teams on ad-hoc analytical projects related to value creation and strategy
The Ideal Profile
Background in Private Equity, Big 4 or Investment Banking
Strong technical foundation in
financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis
Solid understanding of financial statements and performance.
Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data
Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools or data visualisation is a plus
Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders
