
OPERATIONS AUTOMATION ASSOCIATE

Job Responsibilities
Maintain an understanding of WMS, WCS and IT integration to achieve effective and efficient operations.
Follow automated processes to support successful warehousing processes.
Understand and troubleshoot Electric Mechanical Controls.
Optimize existing automated material handling equipment, including PLC programs.
Work closely with vendors to integrate solutions.
Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Monitor the WCS interface for potential faults and clear machine faults following SOPs.
Physically move product when necessary to resolve machine faults.
Troubleshoot errors in WMS and WCS related to the automated warehouse.
Monitor inventory comingling via WCS and consolidate pallets as required.
Monitor missions created by work releases to ensure workload completion and advise shift supervisors of conflicts.
Escalate errors and outages to operations, automation provider, and USCS specialist for resolution.
Ensure data integrity in WMS and WCS for operational execution.
Perform preventative maintenance assigned to automation equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement teams on warehouse automation.
Seek and implement automated process improvements and corrective actions.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Some technical training preferred.
Physical Job Requirements
Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; up to 70 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
Work within temperature range +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise levels.
Lifting overhead when required.
Perform tasks requiring computer use, standing, walking, stairs, and lifting.
Stand and walk for extended periods.
Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
Attention to detail, effective communication, vision, hearing essential.
Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment.
Additional hours may be requested by management.
Operate a registered motor vehicle if part of daily tasks.
Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication.
Strong arithmetic and reading skills.
Follow verbal and written instructions and company policies.
Self-starter, capable of independent work and coordinating with others.
