We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with strong domain expertise in
Financial Crime, AML, and Transaction Monitoring
to drive product delivery for risk and compliance platforms within a banking environment. This role requires close collaboration with business, compliance, technology, and data teams to ensure product outcomes meet both regulatory expectations and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain the product backlog for Financial Crime, AML, and Risk & Compliance initiatives
Convert business needs and regulatory requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
Partner closely with compliance, risk, operations, and technology teams to ensure correct implementation of AML and transaction monitoring rules
Prioritize features and enhancements based on regulatory risk, business value, and customer impact
Actively participate in PI planning, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as part of Agile delivery teams
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of transaction data, alerts, cases, and regulatory reports
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), production deployments, and regulatory audits
Provide direction and leadership to both onshore and offshore delivery teams
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Crime, AML, or Risk & Compliance roles
Strong domain knowledge in Transaction Monitoring, KYC, AML, Sanctions, Fraud and Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR)
Hands‑on experience working with transaction data, alerts, cases, and compliance platforms
Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
Proven experience coordinating and managing cross‑functional teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
Ability to work effectively across business, compliance, and technology functions
Nice to Have
Experience with AML platforms such as Actimize, FCRM, NICE, or similar tools
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including FFIEC, FinCEN, and FATF
Experience working within large financial institutions
