Description We are expanding our CAPLYTA® medical team to support our growing impact in psychiatry. The Neuroscience Sales Representative (NSR) has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner. The NSR is accountable for understanding customer needs, aligning marketing resources, and embodying Intra‑Cellular’s corporate vision of delivering innovative treatments to improve the lives of individuals with neuropsychiatric, neurologic, and other disorders.
Job Responsibilities
Follow compliance guidelines to drive sales performance and meet or exceed sales forecasts within the assigned territory, calling on primary care HCP offices and select PC targets via in‑person and virtual visits.
Develop superior product and disease state knowledge and effectively educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on‑label prescribing.
Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives, customizing discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
Operate independently with sales proficiency to drive performance and ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed expectations.
Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers, sharing information with internal stakeholders.
Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/regions, selecting appropriate programs/resources for each customer, practice, and/or system.
Deliver educational programs to healthcare providers in accordance with ITCI’s ethical guidelines.
Work with the District Manager and key stakeholders to develop a local business plan that ensures achievement of all business objectives.
Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and best‑practice sharing.
Administer timely and accurate reporting of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, communication responses, sample and expense reporting.
Meet or exceed all NSR deliverables and complete all required training within set timelines.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
1+ year of documented B2B sales experience; experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical devices preferred.
Experience with antipsychotic and/or bipolar sales is a plus.
Strong passion for improving patient and caregiver lives, with a patient‑centric mindset.
High integrity and adherence to the company’s compliance policies and procedures.
Self‑motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, excellent decision‑making judgment, and strong teamwork/collaboration skills.
Track record of learning and adapting in evolving environments such as Covid‑19 to overcome obstacles.
Ability to adapt to the changing telemedicine/virtual environment.
Analytical skills to assess progress against objectives, diagnose performance issues, and identify opportunities.
Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills.
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside normal hours; travel may include overnight travel and occasional domestic travel to headquarters and meetings.
Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
