5 days in office, full-time M-F in Vernon, Los Angeles. We’re looking for a Senior Technical Designer for Denim to own the full product journey from concept through final production, driving fit, construction, and quality in fast-paced environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams to set the standard for premium apparel. The Role
Senior Technical Designer for Denim — own the full product journey from concept through final production. You’ll drive fit, construction, and quality from concept to final production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to set the standard for premium apparel and ensure every garment meets exacting standards of fit, construction, and quality. What You’ll Do
Create and manage garment specifications and standards within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for designated product categories. Oversee the product journey from concept stage to final production approval, including developing garment fit, construction, grading, and trim using tech packs, flat patterns, and fit comments. Build tech packs with garment specifications, construction details, and digital patterns for factories to create samples. Inspect samples to ensure they meet company quality standards. Communicate revisions to factories through fit comments, updating specs, patterns, construction details, and sketches. Execute fit comments promptly to align the fit process with production timelines. Review graded nest patterns and issue grading guidelines to vendors post-fit approval to maintain consistent fit and quality. Partner with Product Integrity to creatively solve quality control issues. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree 8-10+ years of experience in Denim technical design Extreme attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to prioritize and make quick decisions Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Honest and trustworthy with highest integrity Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, balance creativity with technical capability, and interpret design sketches for tech packs Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim; familiarity with print design and manufacturing Experience working with overseas factories Compensation
At Reformation, the anticipated base salary range is $95,000 - $115,000 + 10% bonus eligibility, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This role may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance and individual contributions. Compensation decisions vary to reflect evolving business needs.
