
Responsibilities
Research relevant product trends, color trends, fabric trends, new trims, and garment details
Present concept research and design intelligence based on category trends in the market
Needs to create strong cross functional relationships with multiple oversea offices
Ability to work across multiple apparel account sensibilities including specialty and department store retailers and their respective deliverables.
Source fabric and trims with assistance and guidance of Pearl design team
Organize and maintain design development including artwork, mock-ups, and sketches.
Manage and adhere to a Time In-Action Calendar.
Daily communication with multiple account partners.
Showroom set-up and sample management
Seasonal travel for account meetings domestically and internationally
Create monthly market retail reports from store visits
Manage (1) Associate Designer
Qualifications
At least 6-8 years of experience in women’s sportswear
Advanced visual and written communication skills
Strong understanding of garment construction
Agile and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment
Trend research and cool hunting for silhouettes
Skills
Ability to multi-task, think outside the box, be open-minded and optimistic
Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong eye for trends and current industry news/development
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Power Point
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines
Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and corporate strategy
Must be able to balance working between USA and local work hours
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Fashion Design.
