Job Description:
Editor will work in the Client office under the direction of senior staff to assign, edit and oversee publication of a large number of articles about medical conditions.
Must be able to quickly research complex medical topics.
Must be able to work closely with medical reviewers.
Ability to edit in a warm, supportive tone with friendly language is critical.
Must understand and be able to implement SEO best practices.
This is a long-term project with strict deadlines.
Required Skills:
Understanding of friendly language
Understanding of SEO
Experience in assigning, working with freelance writers
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Ability to meet deadline without fail.
Desired (not required) Skills:
Consumer magazine editing
Health/medical/condition writing/editing experience
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' experience in content assigning, editing and production.
Knowledge of CMS functionality
