Role

Our client is looking for a

Business Development Associate

to help drive growth within the hedge fund segment through targeted outreach, relationship building, and strategic pipeline development. This person will identify and engage prospective hedge fund clients via phone, email, and other channels, qualify opportunities, and work closely with Sales and Product to convert interest into long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate brings strong interest in financial markets, excellent communication skills, and a results-driven mindset to open doors, clearly articulate the value of a modern OEMS/PMS platform, and expand our client’s presence across emerging and established hedge funds. Key Responsibilities

Proactively reach out to hedge fund prospects via phone, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified opportunities and drive top-of-funnel growth. Research target accounts to identify key stakeholders, fund strategies, and alignment with our client’s OEMS/PMS solutions. Qualify inbound and outbound leads through discovery calls to understand business needs, workflow pain points, and timing. Partner with Sales and Marketing to build account engagement strategies and ensure smooth handoffs of qualified leads. Maintain accurate pipeline, activity tracking, and notes within the CRM to support forecasting and performance visibility. Collaborate with Product and Sales Engineering to refine messaging and tailor outreach based on market trends and client feedback. Support campaign execution, event follow-up, and other initiatives to maximize engagement across hedge fund prospects. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a related field. Strong interest in financial markets, hedge funds, and financial technology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to quickly understand and explain complex software concepts (e.g., trading systems, portfolio management tools, cloud-based platforms). Highly motivated, organized, and goal-oriented, with a track record of follow-through. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams. Analytical, curious, and detail-oriented with strong research skills. Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is an asset. Genuine interest in building a career in fintech sales within a high-performance team. What Our Client Offers
