Job Description Designer, Print & Color Position Overview Our client is seeking a Designer, Print & Color to partner with design team on print and color development for the brand across global collections, collaborations, wholesale and off-price programs.
Designer Responsibilities
Own all print and color development for the NY office across global collections, collaborations, wholesale, and off-price programs
Partner closely with the Creative Director, Merchandising, Design, Product Development, and Japan-based teams to ensure global alignment
Ensure all print and color execution aligns with brand DNA, seasonal creative direction, and commercial goals
Research trends and create seasonal reports focused on print, color, and materials
Build and present seasonal print briefs
Manage print development across in-house design, external studios, and freelancers, including timelines and deliverables
Develop original prints across a range of styles and techniques
Prepare print and color files for production and review all strike-offs and lab dips for accuracy and quality
Lead print and color development for off-price programs
Provide Merchandising with clear print descriptions for line reviews and market presentations
Partner with Creative and Merchandising to develop seasonal color palettes
Manage color development, lab dips, and archive alignment to minimize overdevelopment
Supply Product Development with complete color BOM information
Create color CADs and seasonal print and color swatch decks as needed to support sales, marketing, and internal teams
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in print and/or color design, preferably within accessories, handbags, or lifestyle brands
Experience working in a global brand environment with cross-functional and international partners
Strong understanding of print production, strike-offs, lab dips, and color matching across multiple materials
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop essential)
Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
Highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
Aesthetic sensibility aligned with accessible luxury, lifestyle, and fashion-forward brands
