Field Services Director,
you will be responsible for providing oversight for the Collections & Distribution (C&D) and Meter Reader departments. In this role, you’ll work with project staff to lead daily activities as well as establishing systems and tools to provide superior client service and technical support to water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities. As the
Field Services Directo r you will be responsible for all corrective and preventive maintenance activities and remedial action in emergencies. Other responsibilities include supervising, evaluating and training managers and teams. You will be expected to establish/foster a culture of collaboration/teamwork and inspire your team to deliver with excellence. You have demonstrated experience, technical skills, and business acumen to lead C&D and Meter Reading operations at a high level. Professional knowledge of the principles, methods and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors and related equipment. Support client relationship with positive client engagement and professional reporting, resulting in client confidence/satisfaction. Provide support, mentoring, training, and leadership to ensure the highest effort on the part of onsite managers. Maintain cost levels to ensure compliance with budget projections. Establish and lead development and training programs to drive professional advancement within the organization. Organize and direct C&D and Meter Reader teams to deliver high performance in Safety, Preventive Maintenance, Customer Service, Quality, and Sustainability. Assure personnel compliance with corporate and client reporting systems Develop budgets and assist in the preparation of Maintenance strategies to exceed contract and company requirements/deliverables. Here's what you'll need
BA or BS degree; or 20 years in a leadership role in lieu of the degree. Six years of experience as a manager of maintenance and/or public works operations. Experience in Asset Management with responsibility for technical support and financial accountability. Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions Proficiency with computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and CMMS systems Ideally, You’ll Also Have: Bachelor’s degree in related fields (i.e. Engineering, Business, etc.) Twelve years of experience as a manager in public works operations, including experience in Asset Management. Knowledge of methods to reduce operating costs of a treatment plant through efficiency in energy consumption, chemical addition, staffing strategies and solids disposal Ability to make presentations and create professional reports/presentations. Excellent oral and written communications. Self-motivated, team-oriented work practices, and strong data analysis & technical problem-solving skills. Advanced interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain credibility across all levels of the organization.
