Business Development & Customer Relationship Manager Location: Woodbine, Maryland (with regional travel throughout the Mid-Atlantic)

Reports To: President and CEO

Position Summary: Greenlink Inc., a leading commercial landscaping provider in the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking a seasoned Business Development & Customer Relationship Manager to expand our market presence, strengthen client relationships, and lead a high-performance team. This key leadership role is ideal for a results-driven professional with extensive experience in commercial landscaping, a passion for client success, and strong team-building skills.

The ideal candidate will bring industry expertise, a strategic mindset, and the ability to inspire a culture of exceptional service and accountability. As we continue to grow across Maryland, D.C., Northern Virginia, and surrounding areas, this role will be instrumental in shaping Greenlink’s customer experience and sales growth strategy.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the commercial landscaping industry—including property management companies, developers, general contractors, and municipal entities—and can effectively position our services as high-quality, reliable, and results-driven.

Key Responsibilities: Business Development & Sales:

Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial landscaping opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and lead generation

Prepare and present proposals, bids, and pricing to potential clients

Build relationships with property managers, general contractors, developers, and municipal agencies across the Mid-Atlantic.

Lead proposal development, bid preparation, and contract negotiations.

Develop and execute a sales pipeline strategy for short- and long-term growth

Conduct site walks and consultations to understand client needs and deliver tailored service offerings

Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations

Client Relationship Management:

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive retention, upsell services, and maximize customer satisfaction

Conduct regular client check-ins, quarterly reviews, and service audits.

Proactively address service issues in collaboration with operations and production teams.

Leverage client insights to propose enhancements and value-added services.

Leadership & Team Development

Build, manage, and coach account managers.

Set performance targets, conduct regular check-ins, and promote a collaborative sales culture.

Partner with field and operational leadership to align client expectations with field execution.

Promote Greenlink’s core values of integrity, excellence, and reliability.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

Analyze industry trends, client feedback, and regional market data to inform strategic initiatives.

Develop and track key performance metrics for growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.

Deliver reports and updates to senior leadership on pipeline status and business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-7 years of proven sales, business development, or client-facing experience in the commercial landscaping industry

Proven track record of leading sales and client service teams.

Established network within property management, construction, or real estate development sectors strongly preferred

Knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance, design/build, and enhancement services

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills

Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and client accounts

Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. LMN or Aspire software experience is a plus

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally within the Mid-Atlantic and surrounding areas for client visits

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based at our Woodbine, MD headquarters, with frequent travel to client sites and branch locations across the Mid-Atlantic and surrounding areas.
