Regional Sales Manager

NEO is seeking a driven, relationship-oriented Regional Sales Manager to accelerate growth and elevate our presence across the New York City metropolitan area. This is a high-impact, front-facing role for a natural connector, someone energized by building trust, inspiring design partners, and shaping how the city’s most influential firms specify light.

Our portfolio spans high-performance customizable downlights, bespoke architectural solutions, and sophisticated interior and exterior luminaires, crafted for the most demanding environments architectural projects and visionary clients.
What You’ll Do
Driving strategic growth by developing and executing a targeted sales plan for the NYC market in partnership with our New York City agent
Cultivating trusted relationships with lighting designers, architects, interior designers, engineers, specification firms, and key influencers
Leading dynamic presentations such as lunch‑and‑learns, design consultations, and full product demonstrations
Tracking and converting project pipelines, securing specification commitments, and guiding projects from concept to completion
Offering expert product support, including technical guidance, design reviews, and on‑site assistance
Representing NEO at industry events and staying current on design trends and market activity
Analyzing market data to identify growth opportunities and competitive insights
Collaborating with internal teams and manufacturing partners to align goals and deliver exceptional solution‑oriented client experiences
Maintaining accurate CRM data, forecasting, and overall activity tracking
Frequent travel throughout NYC is required, with occasional domestic travel for trainings, events, and manufacturer visits.
Ideal Candidates Will Have
Proven sales and negotiation skills with a history of meeting or exceeding targets
Strong understanding of the lighting specification process and the NYC design ecosystem
Experience in architectural or technical lighting
Existing relationships within the NYC architecture and design community
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
Strength in strategic planning, market research, and pipeline management
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
Proficiency with CRM platforms and modern sales tools
A bachelor’s degree in Technical or Business‑related field (preferred)
Self‑motivation, organizational discipline, and confidence working independently
