Salary Range $61,666 - $77,082* Neiman Marcus is a leading luxury retailer that provides a curated product assortment, unparalleled services, and exclusive activations for customers. You Will Be As the Sales Manager, you possess total ownership of the sales experience within your Saks Fifth Avenue store and play a critical role in achieving the company’s objectives. You facilitate partnerships across functions and leverage team skills to build a customer-centric sales experience, while stewarding the Saks Fifth Avenue brand. You drive sales by developing clienteling skills and selling behaviors of a team of high-performing direct reports. You maintain high visibility on the selling floor to coach and develop our selling force, refining the art of connecting with clients to build sustainable relationships through exceptional service and regular outreach. You oversee onboarding, training, ongoing education, and performance management of the selling team, fostering teamwork and collaboration to successfully achieve the store\'s goals. What You Will Do

People Responsible for actively recruiting and onboarding new hires with urgency to hire quality talent and create a talent bench Train and develop top talent by supporting team members in identifying career goals and opportunities for growth; set clear goals and communicate to direct reports in alignment with department objectives Foster accountability by leading the team in enforcing policies and procedures and ensuring understanding across all associates Evaluate and calibrate performance and productivity; provide feedback with follow-up, coach and mentor associates on opportunities for improvement Develop direct reports to build their personal brand as a fashion authority through proactive outreach and leveraging social media to broaden connections beyond the client base Drive continued education initiatives for direct reports focusing on product knowledge, client events, and targeted selling and clienteling Promote a positive environment of achievement, recognition, and celebration Resolve work-related concerns and conflicts promptly and fairly Empower team to own internal and external customer problems and resolve them quickly Oversee scheduling of department associates with sensitivity to promotional calendars and business needs Create and maintain an environment of trust by encouraging feedback and recommendations for improvement Model candor and challenge the status quo appropriately Customer Experience Exhibit Saks Fifth Avenue’s culture and values, creating a friendly atmosphere with service aligned to Company standards Role model exceptional service and client relationship building, planning and supporting client appointments to maximize results, and informing clients of in-store events to enhance engagement Collaborate with store leadership, marketing, vendors, and merchants to identify top clients and execute events/experiences Build positive relationships and anticipate the needs of the team, customers, partners, and the community Lead a cohesive customer service-driven team, overseeing service efforts and escalations Use data-driven methods to identify patterns in client spend and opportunities to increase wallet share Increase new client acquisition and strengthen relationships using marketing tools and channels (e.g., social media, referrals, networking) Utilize clienteling tools to deliver exceptional service and make targeted recommendations based on shopping history Stay informed on new merchandise deliveries to maximize selling potential Business Ownership Drive toward maximum sales and growth via development of client advisors and client relationships Plan and execute with consideration of risks and roadblocks to maintain operational excellence Execute store plans to build client relationships and meet development goals Analyze customer behaviors, trends, and preferences to adjust processes (e.g., focus programs) Support audit compliance to enforce department and stockroom controls Stay informed of business drivers, industry trends, and competitors to identify opportunities Track progress against departmental strategies and communicate insights Share information and best practices to improve performance Demonstrate decision-making, problem definition, data analysis, and hypothesis testing Champion change initiatives and explain benefits and challenges to the team What You Will Bring Required Qualifications (Minimum Requirements): Relevant experience in leading a team with supervisory responsibility Proven track record of managing selling and operations teams to achieve results Proficiency with clienteling tools, social media (social selling), and Google Workspace; advanced proficiency preferred History of building, leading, motivating, and coaching teams to meet objectives Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to structure messages clearly Strong attention to detail Physical ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 10 pounds Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Luxury retail fashion experience preferred 4-year degree preferred Continually develops skills through training and experiences Understanding of Saks Fifth Avenue business and the fashion industry Adapts to diverse situations and people; responds to changes with creativity and resilience Maintains high personal standards for work and environment Maintains a customer-centric approach beyond store focus Comfortable working in a remote environment Your Life And Career At Neiman Marcus Dynamic, fast-paced environment with growth and transformation Opportunity for career advancement across a multi-brand luxury retailer, from retail to distribution, digital, or corporate Comprehensive benefits for eligible full-time employees (medical, vision, dental) Employee discount Saks.com is an equal opportunity employer.
