Job Description: Natural Gas Business Development Originator
Location: Houston, TX
Reports to: Head of Trading, Power, Gas and Emission
Position Summary: This position will be responsible for growing the physical footprint of PCIA in North America. Aiding the NG team in identifying, analyzing, and delivering short- and long-term opportunities. Key deliverables will center on producers, industrial and power customers as well as asset acquisition of term leases.
Key Accountabilities
Establish wholesale customers to enable the trading and marketing of natural gas in the U.S. physical markets.
Develop a web of wholesale, producer, commercial and industrial customers around our storage and transportation assets.
Support LNG team in analysis and supply of gas for LNG offtake.
Interact and coordinate with the mid-office, back-office and PCI’s natural gas department in Beijing in order to support the North America Natural Gas business development.
Drive asset acquisition, pipeline transport, storage, and asset management structures.
Develop power customer base, gas sales.
Meet accountabilities while complying with all relevant PetroChina policies as well as, legal and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
10 or more years of experience working in oil and gas industry
Knowledge of customer, logistics, pipeline and assets for North America NG/LNG is highly desirable
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Financial structure negotiating techniques a plus
Petroleum industry commercial contacts, business environment and background a plus
