Banquet and Catering Sales Manager
Job Summary:
Banquet and Catering Sales Manager
is responsible for generating revenue for the restaurants through sales of private events, and catering orders through direct sales, promotions, and other sales & marketing efforts.
Develop and enhance existing private events and catering businesses while soliciting new business through lead generation and various traditional and non-traditional sales techniques.
Develop and champion quarterly marketing plans and initiatives.
Partner with Marketing Department to support current promotions in the community.
Work closely with Marketing Department to enhance catering menus based on the wants and needs of our guests.
Creating and prepare all event and catering proposals for the guests ensuring all costs related to the event have been assessed accurately and communicated fully.
Work closely and effectively with fellow employees and GM to ensure all proposals are carried out timely and accurately.
This sometimes includes being present at an event to greet the guests and check in on their experience or play a role in the delivery of an off-site order.
Maintain an organized and accurate database of records of all generated contact information and copies of finalized contracts and proposals.
Requirements:
3-5 years experience in a hospitality industry sales role
Outside sales Experience
Ability to work on action plans to improve sales initiatives
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Must possess knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Must be flexible in work schedule and hours
Must be a self-starter, outgoing, and be able to attain financial results with minimum supervision
Experience in setting up and running events is recommended.
