Backed by proprietary trading systems, deep global inventory access, and established logistics and warehousing infrastructure across the US, EMEA, and Asia, this organisation operates at the sharp end of time-critical, capital-intensive supply chains.
Role Overview – Strategic Hunter This role is designed for a commercially astute, network-driven sales professional who understands how solar and energy products move through complex supply chains.
You will originate, structure, and close transactions across the solar and energy ecosystem, leveraging a global trading platform to support customers with speed, flexibility, and certainty of supply.
This is a hands‑on, individual contributor role with significant autonomy and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Market Expansion
Develop and expand relationships across the solar and energy value chain, including:
Solar integrators and system installers
Project developers and EPCs
Distributors, brokers, and trading partners
Manufacturers, OEMs, and strategic suppliers
Energy users, site owners, and financial stakeholders
Position the organisation as a trusted supply‑chain partner, not just a vendor.
Drive new opportunities through personal networks, targeted outreach, and industry events.
Analyse customer requirements, procurement models, and commercial drivers to structure competitive supply solutions.
Prepare and negotiate quotations and propositions aligned to internal trading, margin, and risk frameworks.
Manage transactions end-to-end, working closely with trading, operations, and logistics teams.
Navigate lead times, allocation challenges, and supply volatility with confidence.
Account & Relationship Management
Build long‑term, trust‑based relationships within commercial, C&I, and utility‑scale solar markets.
Maintain a strong understanding of customer BOMs, demand cycles, and future project pipelines.
Act as a market‑facing ambassador for the Solar & Energy division across the US.
Requirements
2+ years’ experience selling solar or energy products into integrators, developers, EPCs, distributors, or energy customers.
Proven track record in new business development and revenue generation.
Experience within distribution, trading, or manufacturer‑led sales environments.
Battery & energy storage systems
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment with autonomy.
Highly Advantageous
Existing active client base within the US solar / energy market.
Experience navigating complex supply chains, lead times, and logistics constraints.
Exposure to multi‑region sourcing, inventory strategies, or LTA‑style commercial discussions.
