Introduction As an Associate Designer at IBM Consulting, you will join our world‑class Associates Program for university hires. This role focuses on continuous learning, mentorship, and the development of technical and design skills while enabling you to impact clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

UX and UI work: create wireframes, visual interfaces, prototypes, and annotate wireframes; collaborate with designers, researchers, consultants, and developers to ensure interactions are correctly recorded and addressed.

Conduct user research leveraging IBM Enterprise Design Thinking and perform direct user research as part of project management.

Support a Senior Designer on UX and UI production tasks, incorporate feedback, and work closely with developers and testers on a day‑to‑day basis.

Visual Design: develop delightful concepts, mock‑ups, and prototypes from sketches and wireframes; collaborate with clients, senior designers, and front‑end developers to implement dynamic human‑centered digital solutions.

Create storyboards, layouts, impactful presentations, graphics, data visualizations, and other design artifacts for client meetings or product development.

Participate in or lead design workshops, incorporate input from multiple stakeholders, communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale, and outline digital experiences screen by screen with front‑end development teams.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Professional or university‑based design experience with a portfolio representing design artifacts and associated projects.

A passion for innovative ideas and the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.

Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and work with individuals, strengthening relationships to achieve win‑win solutions.
