Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing an outside sales team to drive profitable growth within an assigned territory. This role focuses on expanding existing accounts, securing new business, and executing strategic sales strategies while maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal leadership.
This territory covers the
greater Philadelphia area down through Virginia and Georgia , with
occasional travel throughout these states .
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coach outside sales representatives to achieve territory penetration, revenue growth, and profitability targets
Drive new account acquisition while defending, retaining, and expanding existing customers
Identify market trends, competitive activity, and growth opportunities; contribute to regional and segment business plans
Communicate effectively with executive leadership on sales performance, account status, market conditions, and competitive intelligence
Build and maintain professional relationships with key customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders
Support the introduction and growth of new products and solutions within the territory
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
10+ years of sales and/or marketing experience within industrial, automation, or motion‑control environments preferred
5+ years of progressive sales management experience
Travel Requirements
Up to 50% travel expected, including occasional travel throughout Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia
