The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a sales manager to develop a team of sales professionals in the Memphis market. This individual will assume sales management responsibilities on Day 1, with full accountability for team performance, coaching, forecasting, and execution. This role is ideal for a proven sales leader who enjoys building teams, driving accountability, and delivering results through others. Key Responsibilities
Directly manage, coach, and develop a team of individual contributor sales representatives. Set clear expectations for activity, pipeline management, and revenue performance. Conduct regular one‑on‑ones, ride‑alongs, and performance reviews. Hold the team accountable to KPIs, forecasts, and revenue goals. Foster a high‑performance, collaborative, and customer‑focused sales culture. Own regional sales performance for the Memphis territory. Partner with senior leadership to execute regional sales strategy. Drive new business development and expansion of existing accounts through the team. Ensure disciplined pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and CRM usage. Support complex or strategic sales opportunities as needed. Talent Development
Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members. Identify skill gaps and provide targeted coaching. Develop future top performers and potential leaders. Lead by example in professionalism, ethics, and customer engagement. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with operations, service, and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Act as the voice of the customer internally. Support pricing, contract negotiations, and margin management. What We’re Looking For
Track record of delivering consistent revenue growth through others. Strong coaching, mentoring, and performance management skills. Experience with consultative or solution‑based selling. Ability to balance leadership with hands‑on involvement in key deals. Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
